Spending a little extra every now and again doesnât hurt đ đ đI missed so many Christmasâs due to the cult. It is fun to buy gifts for people, when you find something you know they are going to love.

so, my son bought me a device that allows me to look up and watch anything i want.
i remember years ago , i enjoyed the television show hee haw on sunday evenings.
i naively thought it was wholesome family entertainment.
Hee Haw is hardly the cause of moral degradation of the free world. I would suggest hiding in your bunker without television if Hee Haw has you this tangled up.

My sister said the same thing about one of her disfellowshipped children (when she was still speaking to me)That he was being selfish because he didnât want to return to the JW idiocy.
To which I replied, so itâs selfish if he does what he wants to do, but youâre not selfish for insisting that everyone live their life the way YOU see fit?!?!

The JWs got my parents when they were in a vulnerable emotional state and the rest is history. Neither of my parents home lifeâs were ideal, throw in Vietnam and some other emotional upheavals and in come the Witnesses to offer their false hopes.

we have numerous resources online to draw jws in so that they will wake up.
however, i've noted some radical methods that have been used by fellow exjws, and quite frankly, this must stop.
People get to have their own viewpoints and live their own life now that they are out of the cult. I might not confront every JW I see, but if someone else feels the need to, itâs not up to me to decide whatâs right or wrong for the whole wrold anymore. Plus the JWs do come to peoples houses to tell people they will die if they donât join the witnesses, so I donât feel too bad for a little confrontation. No violence though.
what is the official line of the witesess vis a vis stalking and illegal wiretapping.
do they ever report the officials to the police or is it just accepted as normal?.
More than one person I know has been stalked by elders.
after being a jw for 25 years and finding every weasel way to 'maintain christian neutrality', i now find myself in a completely 'new light'.. i quit abruptly, four years ago and have lived a jw free life with the exception of my born-in wife.when i see the ceremony of the national anthem, it not only reaffirms the absolute beauty of personal freedom, but it also allows me to see that most people are good and loyal to one another.
i treasure my life and have become a patriot.
now i feel ashamed that i was a government/authority rejecting, isolationist that benefited from living in the greatest country in the world.
It makes me emotional because I realize how lucky I am to have the freedom I have. Freedom of religion, to choose a career, a college, a marriage mate, where to live, etc. So thankful I live in a country that allows me to choose.
let's play devils advocate here.. put yourself in the governing body's shoes.
they are well aware of all the issues they are facing.
they know their numbers (they 'do the math' as they say in the us).
From a business standpoint they need to do a root cause analysis for the decline in the affluent nations. The 3rd world countries are a "product line" that is losing money. Concentrate on the affluent nations and rebrand as a regular religion that isn't trying to control everyone's lives. Loosen restrictions on disfellowshipping, holidays, nonsense of spying on members, and they would be ok. But the huge egos involved in the GB will never allow that to happen.
Also they think the magic guy in the sky is going to save them, delusion has never saved a business enterprise.
